These works on paper emerged from Rebecca Guarda’s first year as a novice birder, when sketching birds in a small notebook served as a vital tool for learning to recognize the distinct details of each species. Over time, these intimate studies evolved into these larger, multi-layered collaged works that draw upon her background as a mixed-media artist.
